You should stay away from oily skin products such as many makeups. Some makeups are terrible for acne and can cause serious breakouts over a short period of time. There are oil free makeups made for people with acne prone skin that you should use.

Pay attention to what you eat. If you are consuming a lot of greasy or fattening foods you might have just found the reason to your bad skin. Eat a fit diet, and get rid of all that junk. Not only will you feel better about your skin, you will feel better about yourself as a person and the way you treat your body!

This MC has been around since the infancy of the Motorcycle culture. Now I have only known Queensboro MC for about 8 of those 97 years but I can tell you over 97 years this group of Bikers have made many friends in and outside of the Motorcycle world! Their annual Motorcycle Rodeo Held each year at a local Park shows not only how many friends they have made but also how 98 years can teach you how to throw a great party.Just one look at the parking lot at the Rodeo shows you the wide diversity of their Friends,With Motorcycles from Harley to Honda, Ninja to Norton and so many others in between. Now you don't need a Motorcycle to be part of the FOQ (Friends of Queensboro)Crew and some of their many friends showed up in cars to enjoy the perfect Summer day!

The Event starts with sign up at Rolling Thunder in Hempstead and a Scenic ride over to the Rodeo. Once at the Rodeo there are of course plenty of great Motorcycle Events to enter,None of them more memorable then the Port-a-Potty pull ! If you need to ask what a Port-a-Potty pull is, Well all I can say is your just going to have to show up at next years Rodeo! The Event also has many great Vendors,Food and Beverages, a D.J., Children's events, a Bike Show and many games you don't need a Motorcycle to play, Such as the Hilarious game "Shoot the Biker Freak". The Final event of the day is always the Tug of War !

Common Plastic Surgery Risks

Hematoma

Synvisc injections are administered in 3 distinct sessions, each at least a week apart. Medical studies have established that a total of 3 injections, each spaced one week apart, is the best approach pain relief. You are recommended to obtain all of the injections to reap the full potential of synvisc therapy.

Synvisc and Potential Side Effects

Various safety studies were done on Synvisc therapy prior to using it on humans. Research results show that synvisc is non-inflammatory, nonantigenic, and non-toxic. Today, synvisc has been administered on millions of arthritis patients.

Generally, synvisc does not cause any side effects. On the other hand, because synvisc is directly injected into the joint, there are remote cases where patients complained of some swelling, discomfort, or pain in or around the knee. Nevertheless, this occurred only in very rare cases and the risks involved are minimal at best.

Exercising or doing anything strenuous is is not allowed in the first 48 hours after being injected with synvisc. Heavy lifting, running, playing tennis, or any action that can put pressure on the knee is definitely not allowed.

Keep in mind that synvisc injections are not a definite cure for arthritis. As a matter of fact, up to now, there is no cure for this condition. That being said, synvisc therapy is effective in relieving joint pain, and its pain relief effects can last for a minimum of 6 months. Additionally, synvisc therapy will work together with other medicinal drugs or other types of treatment, and you don't require a prescription to get it.

Can Smoking Help You Lose Weight?

A good friend who needs to stop smoking (as I remind her on occasion but never seem to convince) approached me recently about her desire to quit.

This was a surprise as she has always told me in the past that she refused to stop smoking if it meant any weight gain.

Since I've always been the one to broach this subject with her, not the other way around, my curiosity was sparked.

Her inspiration was a commercial she'd recently seen with beautiful models sporting skin tight jeans. The true eye-catcher though, was a different smoking related illness written down the leg of each model -"Lung Cancer," etc.

My friend thought this was an excellent commercial to reinforce for those that as a weight loss aid, smoking leaves a lot to be desired.

The conversation we both then had was enlightening to both of us.

My friend explained that she had tried once before to quit smoking and had even made a plan beforehand. Still, she gained weight and eventually started smoking again.

When pressed, my friend explained that once she "failed" and had one cigarette, it went against her entire plan to quit and loose weight so she wasnt prepared - her plan didn't allow for ANY deviation.

My friend also hadn't realized just how much she smoking was tied into her daily activities and how it wasn't just giving up nicotine.

We decided to look at the flaws with her first plan to quit and from that, create a new plan for her.

My friend first attempted to give up cigarettes completely.

This is where my friend discovered what a habit really was. What would she do when she woke in the morning with no cigarette? What would fill her time on the drive to work without a cigarette? What would she do on her coffe break without a cigarette?

FOOD! That was obviously an easy filler. Who doesn't like food? Food doesn't cause lung cancer! This plan actually worked for awhile since she wasn't smoking. What was the result? Pretty much what you'd think - she gained weight. Of course, this didn't fit well with her second goal of dieting to lose weight. The diet she chose was a poor one, based on her likes and dislikes. While she stuck with the plan for awhile, the choices were limited.

My friend found herself bored with her available food choices and the diet soon became a thing of the past.

The third part of my friend's plan was to exercise. Great idea right? It could have been, however, my friend didn't want to start by walking - she wanted to run. She chose unrealistic workout routines and naturally, she found them too difficult and quit right away. In fact, she also injured herself by chosing such a difficult routine and was even less mobile than before.

"Moderation, moderation, moderation." This is what my friend was lacking in her first plan. Her plan simply wasn't realistic based on her current level of fitness and smoking habits.

We talked about how her goals to stop smoking, lose weight and exercise were great but she needed to work up to the original goals she set - not start with them.

We first looked at how she approached giving up cigarettes. The "all or nothing" approach was difficult for her the first time.

For my friend, she needed to gradually reduce the amount she smoked each day until she could eventually give them up altogether.

She could have also made a plan for not giving up if she did slip up and have a cigarette. What was her support plan? Did she have someone to call? What other natural aides where available. She could have researched this better.

Diet - this approach also needed to change. I suggested that she first see her doctor to discuss all three things she wanted to accomplish - stop smoking, diet, exercise. Her doctor could recommend a diet plan she could stick with as well as ascertain her current fitness level.

Once my friend had a physical, she could design an exercise program that worked for her - not a marathon runner.

From there, she could have found a gym and a personal trainer to develop a moderate plan for exercise that increased gradually.

Starting out with several smaller weightloss, and exercise goals is much more gratifying than one big, rigid plan that makes one feel like a failure if results aren't seen immediately.

While we all want instant results, that simply isn't realistic. Take the time to notice the gradual changes happening to your body. How are your clothes fitting this week compared to two weeks ago? How much longer were you able to go on the treadmill this week compared to last? How are all of the small steps you are taking to gain better health coming together?
